TUITION KIDS

what is (1+4)(5) = ?

i dunno!

okie, the brackets means times okie... so what is (1+4)(5)=?

how do u times 1 plus 4 times 5? doesn't make sense!!

okie i rewrite for u k, (1+4) x 5. what is it? is the same as 5 + 20 isnt it?

Ya.

so what if i (x + 2)(3), is the same as 3x + 6 right?

NO.

why not?

ITS NOT THE SAME!

okie, never mind. then show me ur way then.

x + 6

so where's the 3x? u see the (1+4)x5 question. u must apply ur order. 5x1 then + 5x4.
so same. u must 3 times x then plus 3x6. understand?

no.

fine. how about (x) times 3?

3x.

what's 3 times 2?

6

u plus them together what do u get?

3x + 6.

so isn't 3x + 3x2 the same as (x+2) times 3?

ya.

understand now?

ya okie.

so what's (x+2) x 3?

x + 6.

It's wrong! I thought u know how to do already?

Huh? I didn't understand a single thing u said.

ARGH. that's my tuition kid. u either love her or beg her to stab u.
