Taking a Break.

Dissertation deadline is approaching and none of us can run away. For the unacquainted - my research area is on Public-Private Partnerships.

If you haven't heard of this term, click here.

To aspiring builders, PPP is the worse thing to research on. The breadth of study is endless and the depth of it is bottomless.

UK does PPP so often it's probably their so-called traditional procurement. but s'pore's traditional procurement is the old old china kind where the client whacks the architects as if they had humped their wives. haha! joking.

anyway, PPP is so complexed there are so many issues to take care of. There is an unbelievable number of firms involved i have to take a week to figure it out. i have to explain what a quantity surveyor does from the old victorian days to the modern techno age. then to go on to explain about risk. finance. refinance. OpEx. CapEx. Life cycle costing. Plan ways to boot the accountants. Public sector comparator. some insights to the Singapore Sports Hub. etc.

All i can conclude from my study is that... the Sports Hub will be a damn happening place! I can't wait for it to be up!!!
