for the first time this year, i took 188 home from NUS. I realize i can no longer stand the long, cold ride home. it goes around Bukit Batok and when u thought it ended, it makes a right turn and you're still in Bukit Batok. sigh.

at a junction, the bus kinda cheonged the red light and this other car horned at the driver.
this is the part- you know how people who have lost their memories would regain them again when faced with a familiar situation?

From that single, sharp horn, various flashbacks from Beijing flooded my mind. That road from our apartment to our office place, the haze, the fog and the dust all over the city and throngs of office workers crossing the road and making way for the cars to drive thru without much regards for human safety, getting peeved at people who would stand so close like there wasn't such a thing as "personal space" in China and wondering (irritatedly) what the traffic controllers were being paid for. Striding down the uneven pavements in my heels and having to pull my skirt down every 5 secs coz it kept riding up. walking past makro (the supermarket) and the roadside stalls that sells chinese omellete in the mornings and the endless car horns...

nostalgia, nostalgia

I look forward to graduation. maybe not.
