For the first time after i came back from Europe, someone mentioned that i did changed. for the better or for worse? only both of us know. haha, that's nice to know that someone has observed a difference. where got i disappear 8 months and nothing happen to me??? but then again, people around me hasn't changed much either.

but there has been a big change in my nus life after i came back. especially to my nusha peeps... it feels like its still the holidays because we have no more nusha work left to do. technically we can still continue on something, but i think i play a very big role but i'm not doing anything, hence nothing is done. not that there ought to be something, it's not. is just that i feel like i'm having too much time on my hands. After i finished my tutorial report, i then ask myself "alright what's next?" Maybe we should hang out one day. out of nus. I don't want to lose the special bond we have always been sharing for the past 2 years.

Anyway, for the benefit of zhuxiu, who missed out on our gathering, you won't be left out! Here's what happened at violet's house:


You see, i got some japanese food recipes from my Jap frens from UK. i made some of them before, and some, for the first time. so well, let's see where my natural talents in cooking bring me to!!!

Here's sweet iris who seemed to be quite eng these days, helping me mince the beef. hahaha... she kept asking "hobbit how small u want the meat?" so i always just give an ambiguous answer like "as small as possible". haha... seriously, if not for her arh, the kitchen will just be like a war zone.. tell u why later.

Yay! and this girl is called SEAN like sean connery. no la. it's pronounced as "Xuan" like Sh-when shwhen XUAN! (benefit of my other readers) she's like chopping up the potatoes. and she ended up chopping lots more than we can eat. why? coz i just told her cut up as much potatoes as we can eat. muahaha...

Yay! this is violet aka carrot peeler aka karaoke company aka macRitchie trekker. You know arh, throughout the whole cooking session, she keeps NIAOING me how bad a cook i am. never stop one leh!!! like "hobbit, mac delivery is better... blah blah" haha.... so, i was determined to prove her wrong!!! (although with not much success) Added info: YES, all the wasted ingredients can definitely "feed 1 family"!!!! Thanks for you constant reminder throughout the day. =p!

Then huh, we tried to fried Okonomiyaki which is Japanese pancake!! iris tried to cook with my recipe blend because we were taking too much time with the preparation but it turned out to loook like CAI TAO KUAY!!!! well, it was my bad recipe... so finally a hero arrived and i bet she was like WAH LAO! WO LAI LA!!! ya. so it was this red hair girl above who put all of us to shame. guess who la. hahaaaaa

Wah... look at the IMPROVED state of the pancake. That's diya who came to save the day. well, the solution is to control what you are cooking, not let the cooking control you!!! Well, we went over to diya's place first and she just woke up from her sleep... because she went hk like 2 days after the competition and just got back on friday. haha lucky she got back in time to try my cooking. i think she was pretty excited when i asked her if she fancied jap food. but well... erm, i think she got caught in a comic relief than being in for a feast.

So this photo was taken so that i can make a comparison with the photo above. i think got some changes ba.... we look younger now... RIGHT?? don't you think soo??? hahaha , maybe funkier would be a better word to use... with my swedish-cut hair, dy's red head and iris' nicer cut. Actually violet (the photographer) was like "stand closer leh" coz she couldn't get the 3 of us in, then dy GRABBED my head till i almost died in her arm literally. so i decided to just give both of them a big hug too.



I really wanted a nice photo with violet. BUT it was totally destroyed by that red hair joker. You know this girl has plans to travel all over south east asia with her backpack... for like a couple of months... salute for your courage and strength! and she never stops watching football... must watch every EPL match one u know! so arh, if want to ask her out make sure it doesn't clash with any of her babies.

Yay, the 5 of us! =) together finally. seriously, i think seeing dy that day was quite surreal, like she jumped out of the tv box, or that nothing, in the past 4 months, ever happened to her. and we talked about ny days and grad trips! Ah!! i still have 1 more year to go! then we talked about ny's 90th anniversary, which would mean that we were in ny together for almost 10 years!!!! TEN!!! TEN TEN TEN!!!! so LAO.

This is violet's sister. You should see her expression when dy walked in. the oh-my-god-my-ou-xiang-is-standing-beside-me look. Muahaha. she's damn lucky la. so many crazy teenage kids have to bear the sun being in hours to get her autograph. and she can just cut queue here and take photo somemore. noticed she grabbed the i-zhoukan for her to sign on it. and she was so sad when dy spelled her name wrongly!!!! hahahahahahaha... so young. =)
Then we just play mahjong lorh... and ws is SO BEGINNERS LUCK. is like dy and i were trying to teach sean how to play and we were like " that pai2 come out already... won't be so lucky la.." and the very next moment, she ZI MO and eventually she won. i tell u, at that moment, dy and i PENG but we couldn't believe our eyes and we started jumping for joy and ws's first victory. like we were so much more excited than her. HAHAHAH and not just once you know!!! everytime we say something like "you won't be so lucky la... (like we seriously said it )" and EVERYTIME we say something negative, somehow ws will just win the game. FREAKY! okie okie i think i have emphasised enough. oh well, the next time we get together to play again, you'll be on your own!!!

Okie, i think i spent too much time blogging. so just a quick summary what happened after that, dy left later and so the 4 of us ate my KAKUNI for dinner! and i succeeded in it!! yay! then we went to Karaoke until 2am and had supper till 3am.

All the cooking and laughing and snapping photos was seemingly like a relive of the days i spent in uk. Although the food wasn't great, but i appreciate the cooking together moments. I hope it was fun for you guys too.
